Nadcomm Tour (toss)

BATS in the Belfry

Gee Whiz, guess what... We now have in NADCOMM the largest private collection of Digital Data System (DDS) equipment on the planet. Now to get it all secured, connected and operational. I have an image of the latest arrival, drum roll please....

    BATS image

The BATS or Bit Access Test System built by California Microwave, circa 1972 now at home with the LATS, CPA, TIDM, T1WB5, LTS, OCUs, DS0s, and D4 Dataport among many other items such as CSUs and DSUs and terminal equipment of all kinds.

Now we need to establish a CLLI code for our location here... lets see... how about FLBKCANCF01 ? Or in English: Fallbrook, California, NADCOMM, Frame one

I am still hoping to get back the D5S from ADTRAN someday when they are finished with it. Thanks to Ken Oakley and me, the Ameritech Systems Integration Laboratory has a complete D5 system from BellcoreTEC.

Someday the telegraph testboard will come out of the Franklin office. I sure hope we can get one of the positions for NADCOMM.

I hope to get our website updated in the next few months so you can see images of some of the equipment we are preserving. Hope all is well with you folks. Remember to keep your eyes open for vintage data communications equipment. We don't want this equipment going to a landfill.

Remember... Donations are tax deductible.
